Before even setting a skate on the ice to play host to the Charleswood Hawks at 2:00PM on Sunday afternoon, the Raiders were out in full force in the community, embracing the meaning of the season and putting their best foot forward to give back which is a large part of this organization’s identity.
Remembering where you came from and understanding the significance of giving back is at the core of what the Raiders culture conveys and this year, is no different.
Guided by the organization’s leadership, and with direction by Steve Chipman, Raiders players and staff turned out to donate, prepare and assemble bagged meals for those less fortunate.
While we didn’t get the outcome we would’ve liked on the ice, the pride and sense of humanity experienced before the game was second to none.
